The following files are in MP3 format.
Joe and Jimmy kick off a new series called "Five Kinds of Calvinists" and begin with The New Calvinist. This is not a discussion of "New Calvinism" as a movement, but of the newcomer to the Reformed Faith. What is good about these newbies? What advice would Jofo give them?
Jimmy and Joe continue their conversation about the five kinds of Calvinists. Today, the guys talk about "bad Calvinists," and the five marks that often characterize these guys. Plus, Jimmy grades Joe's recent sermon. It wasn't the best.
The Half-Caf Calvinist
Joe and Jimmy are back talking about the five kinds of Calvinists, and today they're all over the "half-caf" Calvinist. What kind of churches do we find the half-caf Calvinists? Why does this even matter? The guys also discuss the value of labels, and the various labels that have been thrown at Redeemer Fellowship. Can we all get along with all these labels? Plus, Joe has a cold, and Jimmy's middle name is revealed.
The Straw Calvinist
The guys are nearing the end of their five part series on The Five Kinds of Calvinists, today talking about the "Straw Calvinist." This is the Calvinist that really doesn't exist. It's the "straw man" created by opponents of Calvinism through misunderstanding (most of the time) or intentional misrepresentation (much less of the time). They each take a turn addressing a popular strawman.
The Good Calvinist
Joe and Jimmy post up on the back porch to finish up the five part series on the different kinds of Calvinists. Today, the "good Calvinist." What should be true of Calvinists? Is this is any way different from non-Calvinists? The guys lay out 7 things that Calvinism should produce in every Calvinist. Plus, Jimmy loses an episode, and Joe's wearing "patriarchal power shirt".
