When claims against the truth stand unchallenged, people are led to believe that the claims hold more truth than the truth itself. Therefore, it is necessary in some cases to stand up and speak up about the lies against truth.
On October 1st, 2014, Ron Vietti and Jim Crews of Valley Bible Fellowship Church in Bakersfield, California, gave a talk on the problems of Calvinism and why this belief system is, in their eyes, illogical, blasphemous, unbiblical, heretical, and a “doctrine of demons”. They throw down the gauntlet of encouraging their listeners to actively confront those who hold to the ideals of Calvinism.
What exactly is Calvinism? Are the doctrines of Calvinism synonymous with scriptural soteriology? How does election, free will, and human responsibility work together?
Steve Swartz, a local pastor in Bakersfield, addresses and answers from Scripture 18 issues brought up by Ron Vietti and Jim Crews, exposing their message as a war on the Bible. What was intended as a critique of Calvinism was a thinly veiled all-out attack on the gospel of Christ.
