by Lee Irons
This is an Adult Sunday School class Lee Irons taught in the Fall of 2015 at New Life Burbank. The focus of the series is on responding to "Biblical" Unitarians, who profess to believe the Bible and profess faith in Jesus Christ but who are non-Trinitarians. They reject the eternal preexistence and ontological deity of Christ. These Unitarians view Him either as a man who began to exist in the womb of the virgin Mary (Socinian Christology) or as the first "divine" being God made prior to creation (Arian Christology). This is not a series about contemporary issue since Barth but is focused on the development of the doctrine of the Trinity in the early church, culminating in the second ecumenical council and the Cappadocian father - that is the authentic doctrine of the Trinity.
