Alistair Begg is the Senior Pastor of Cleveland's Parkside Church, and is the voice behind the "Truth for Life" Christian radio ministry. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1952, and still carries a distinctive accent after nearly 30 years living in the United States. Begg was educated at Trent University, London School of Theology, and Westminster Seminary.

Alistair Begg is a strong advocate of Reformed theology. In his role as Senior Pastor of Parkside, he stresses the importance of believing the Bible to be the Word of God, and the importance of using the mind to know the Bible and therefore come to know God. An avid fan of golf, Alistair Begg had a small speaking role in the movie "Bobby Jones: A Stroke of Genius". He played the role of Stewart Maiden, a Scottish golf instructor who tutored Bobby Jones.
